It may be an action movie cliche, but speeding through a border crossing is no laughing matter, and it is an action which can dramatically increase the time you already have to spend in jail, if caught.
This BMW driver, from Germany, is just one of those people, who are willing to risk it all, to be free! Because he is already wanted and facing prison time, he takes his stolen BMW and simply flies through the Polish-Belarus border, before the border patrol has time to do anything about it.
They do notice the driver approaching at a suspiciously high rate of speed, but the plan is executed to perfection, and the driver manages to get from Poland to Belarus, and to freedom.
The driver succeeded in 'successfully crossing the border', and now he is still at large, probably somewhere in Belarus, or he may have jumped yet another border crossing since then, so he could be anywhere... he may have even left Europe altogether.
