The first race of the 2013 DTM Season brought BMW a great result: a one-two podium that really made the teams proud. One of the guys that was part of this result was Dirk Werner.
Everyone focused on Augusto Farfus lately but Dirk's performance shouldn't be overlooked and the guys from BMW Motorsport know it. They just published his driver profile on Youtube so that we can get a better picture of the kind of man he is.

Born in 1981, Dirk has more than enough trophies to show off for his race car driving career so far. He won the 2007 and 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series and finished 3rd in the GT class of the American Le Mans Series in 2011.

Furthermore he got podium finishes in prestigious competitions like the 24 Hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Spa, 24 Hours of Nürburgring, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans.

However, the word above will only show you the professional side of this man, overlooking the other, most important, one: the familist that he is. At the moment he is the proud father of 2 and a more than happy husband, as he says in the video below.
