If there’s one thing Brangelina is known for, excepting great acting skills, is community work and involvement in all sorts of charity events, meant to raise awareness on a variety of subjects.
Brad Pitt hosted the Make it Right gala on Saturday, May 17, in New Orleans on behalf of the foundation with the same name, that he founded. The presenter of the event was Sandra Bullock that led the pledges alongside Brad and announced the winner of a raffled BMW i3 worth $55,000, donated by BMW.

The Make it Right foundation, is focused on building green homes, buildings and communities for people in need. Their projects are LEED Platinum certified and meet the highest standards of green building.

Therefore, the most eco-friendly car on the planet was a suiting gift for the Gala. The BMW i3 is created using solar and wind power. It is the first mass-produced vehicle made primarily of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, resulting in an electric car that is strong and lightweight.

The interior is made with high quality renewable materials like recycled plastics, responsibly forested eucalyptus wood, plant fibers and olive leaf extract.

Up until now, Make it Right built 100 environmentally friendly homes, designed by a group of top architects from around the world, since 2007. The funds raised at Saturday’s event will be used to make more homes in New Orleans, Kansas City, Newark and the Fort Peck Indian Reservation in Montana.
