This year’s Paris Motor Show is the venue chosen by BMW to show off its new line of M-branded accessories for the new 1-Series and 3-Series, as well as an optional power boost for cars equipped with the firm’s 2.0-liter diesel engine. The power boost gives the 181 hp and 379 Nm engine of the 120d, 320d and 520d a moderate boost, making it reach 197 hp and 420 Nm.
With the extra oomph, the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) time is slashed by up to 1 second, without affecting the claimed fuel efficiency figures of the car. Aside from the power boost for the diesel, BMW is also showing off their new line of M accessories for the 1-Series, 3-Series and 3-Series Touring.
These include special mirror covers (finished in carbon, of course), different and sportier rim designs, new front and rear bumpers as well as new side skirts. They may also show the same line of accessories for the 5-Series, but it has yet to be confirmed.
On the mechanical side, BMW will offer sportier suspension, various aero mods as well as the usual slew of M-branded goodies.
