There’s absolutely no limit to what you can do if you’re creative enough. Living proof of this statement is the latest work BMW’s DesignwerksUSA studio finished, in Lapland.
The team was asked to design a deluxe hotel suite made of ice and snow for the ICEHOTEL resort that hosts a special event every year where guests from around the world are invited to the suites for a unique place of inspiration.

The hotel is quite special too, as it’s rebuilt every winter to serve as a meeting place for some of the best artists in the world, with the help of some of the best designers that are invited to help create special suites.

DesignwerksUSA’s creation was done keeping the cyclic character of the hotel in mind, the end result being the deluxe suite “MINI Evolution”. Other local aspects were also considered when making it, like the Lapland fauna and flora and the overall landscape of the region.

The end result encompasses sculptures showcasing both the nature and human influence at the same time. The sleeping area has modern-day cave paintings that show the creation of the sculptures.

Anyone staying in the “MINI Evolution” deluxe suite will enjoy 49 square meters of space divided between a private sauna, sleeping area, a heated relaxation area with its own bathroom, and will get to enjoy a complementary MINI Countryman. In case you’re interested in witnessing the room first-hand, you can find the ICEHOTEL at Marknadsvagen 63, Jukkasjarvi 98191, Sweden. The facility will be open until April 14th, 2014.
