BMW Cruise and Touring Bikes Now Available

Want to pedal on a BMW bike? After the Mountain Bike Cross Country, two new items have been recently added to the BMW Bike Collection

The BMW Cruise and Touring Bikes come with a stem that can be individually adjusted to suit the stature of any rider. This way, the bikes reduce back pains caused by the rider's bent position when riding.

BMW’s Cruise Bike frame is manufactured on the basis of innovative hydroforming technology, a process in which the aluminium tubes are filled with oil and shaped by extreme pressure.

This results in a light and rigid frame. In combination with its resilient telescopic forks and Shimano Alivio gears, it enables the rider to face deep potholes, extreme gradients and racy sprints.

In addition to winning the Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Product Design Award, the BMW Cruise Bike has also won the Red Dot Award for the second time. The bike comes with a 24 speed derailleur system, in red and pearl white, and can be purchased at the price of 849 euros ($1,180).

The BMW Touring Bike was designed for cyclists who mainly ride in urban traffic situations. It has the same frame as the Cruise Bike, but additionally features a rear luggage rack as well as street fittings.

The Touring Bike comes with a 9-speedhub system, in pearl white, at the price of 1,299 euros ($1,810), or with a 2-speed derailleur system, in anthracite, at the price of 1,259 euros ($1,755).

To get the bikes ready to ride, you only need to do some minor assembly work after delivery, for example to attach the pedals and aligning the handlebars. The BMW Bikes are available from selected BMW dealers and online at www.bmw-shop.de, where you can also find out about the BMW Bike Experience Tour.
