BMW has recently announced their newest exhibition to take place at Munich’s BMW Museum, starting November 27. Dubbed “The Mini Story” visitors will be able, for the first time, to see over 30 original vehicles, smaller exhibits and accessories from 55 years of the brand’s history. The grand opening party for the new exhibition will take place on November 28.
The exhibition features unique details of the tradition-rich brand, from the conception of the original Mini in 1959 to the present day. Numerous photos, films and sketches, along with a wealth of background information, tell the story of the brand in 20 themed areas.

Visitors are invited to take an informative and action-packed tour that will lead them from the early days of the space-saving classic models such as the Morris Mini Minor and Mini Traveller to the contemporary design of the first new MINI, built in 2001. The exhibition will also have some of the company’s concept vehicles and creative one-offs, such as a camper van and a stretch limousine complete with whirlpool.

Throughout the exhibition visitors with an interest to a particular era and its zeitgeist will find rare accessories, films and photos, adverts and design sketches, depending on which of the 20 areas they opt for.

The grand opening party starts at 20:00 and will also have rock band The Rifles invited to build up the proper atmosphere. The entry fee is EUR5 and includes a welcome cocktail. However, those who can’t make it have the chance to visit it until January 31 next year.
