Yesterday we reported that the ex-Sales Chief from Audi, Peter Schwartzenbauer, might join the BMW's Top-Management team this month. Today, BMW confirmed this rumor and welcomed Schwartzenbauer to the team.
This is not the only top-management change that is happening in the BMW Group at the moment. Frank-Peter Arndt will leave the company, at his own request, starting with April 1 and Harald Kruger will take his place.

Subsequently Schwartzenbauer will take Kruger's place in BMW's Board of Management as head of Production Division for Rolls-Royce, MINI and BMW Motorrad starting with April. The new Board member will also be responsible for the Aftersales division of BMW AG.

“This was not an easy decision to make, but I have decided to take this step out of consideration for my health and my family, and out of responsibility towards the BMW Group. Working for this company, with its wonderful products and employees, and being able to contribute to the success of the BMW Group, has always been a source of great pleasure for me,” said Arndt concerning his surprising resignation.

Regarding this issue, Prof. Joachim Milberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board said: “Frank-Peter Arndt has made an enormous contribution through his successful achievements and exceptional dedication. He is highly regarded by all of our employees. On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to thank him for his strong commitment. We regret his decision, which he has made for personal reasons but, naturally, we respect it fully."
