BMW Motorrad earned no less than 6 "Best of" awards in this year's edition of Motorcycle.com contest.
The outspoken star was the R120) machinery which swept the "Best Of" prize in two categories. The German adventure-touring bike brought home the “Motorcycle of the Year” and “Best Off-Road/Adventure Motorcycle for 2013” awards.
On the technology side, it was BMW's Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension system which won the prized “Best New Motorcycle Technology of 2013” for the major advance it brought into the motorcycle industry and setting a new standard for performance machines.
HP4 earned the “Best Sportbike” award, a somewhat expected performance, given the worldwide appreciation this superbike has enjoyed since its announcement.
The "Best Touring Bike" accolade went to the K1600GT/GTL, machines, while the BMW C600/650GT seized the "Best Scooter" distinction.
Other Motorcycle.com "Best Of" categories winners were: Honda CB1100 for the Best Standard, Ducati Multistrada S for the Best Sport-Touring Bike, Kawasaki KX450F for the Best Dirtbike, Moto Guzzi California 1400 Custom for the Best Cruiser, Honda CB500F for the best Value.
Zero S was the Best Electric, Aprilia's Tuono V4R won the Best Streetfighter category, while the Best Motorcycle Product award went to the Dunlop Q3 tire.
