More or less funny as it sounds, if you're riding a BMW C650GT maxi scooter, you might lose your luggage, together with your rack... and that's why 79 such vehicles are recalled for verifications.
BMW says that in certain conditions, the bolts and nuts used for fastening the luggage racks of the C650GT maxi scooters may become loose, and in extreme cases, might cause the rack to come off the bike.

The authorized dealers will check the recalled vehicles, apply locking nuts and thread locking compound to the fastening system, while at the same time replacing the luggage rack brackets with stronger ones.

Scooter manufactured between 2011 and 2013 may be affected by this problem, so even if you don't hear from your dealer, you'd better run a quick check of your BMW C650GT rack, just to stay on the safe side.
