BMW Brand Vehicles Sales Up 7.6 Percent in September

After the BMW Group reported an overall sales increase of 6.7% (that includes the MINI, Rolls-Royce and BMW Motorrad sales) in September, it's time to take a look at how BMW brand vehicles did in the 9th month of 2013.

Sales grew by 7.6% to 158,029 vehicles in the last month, whereas in 2012 only 146,852 units were sold in the same period. The best selling model was the 3 Series, as usual, accounting for 44,725 vehicles, a 13.9 percent increase over the previous year.

Demand for the X1 was also strong, with 116,451 units sold so far, in 2013, a 13.6 percent increase over 2012. Year-to-date, the 3 Series' sales grew even more, by 27.6%, adding up to a total of 365,772 units.

The 5 Series also reconfirmed its number one status in its class, being sold in 270,902 units over the first 9 months whilst the 6 Series recorded a 22.6 percent increase adding up to 20,360 vehicles sold.
