Fans of classic, retro motorcycles will be able to enjoy the finest BMW machines at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2014, in the Italian village of Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como, in Italy. The 2014 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este will take place during the Classic Week, May 23-25.
The Concorso di Motociclette was first held in 2011, and since then, it remained a part of the bigger event. It brings together enthusiasts, owners and collectors, in an environment dedicated to celebrating motorcycling heritage, with this year also stressing the development of the two-wheelers through the years.
While the 2013 edition of BMW’s presence at the Concorso di Motociclette was centered on the celebration of 9 decades of Bavarian motorcycles, 2014 will also bring a special “Customized Bikes” exhibition to be held on the grounds of Villa Erba, displaying multiple one-off machines created in various periods.
And of course, the acclaimed BMW R nineT could not miss from the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este 2014, as the highest form of customization-focused German bike engineering in its most modern expression.
BMW Group Classic also informs that “On Saturday, 24 May 2014, a convoy of historic motorcycles will be accompanied by a local police escort on its way from the Villa Flori hotel in Como to Cernobbio, pausing briefly at the town’s piazza before heading on first to the showplace for the Historic Car Parade at Villa d’Este.”
A place and time for celebrating Rolls Royce’s 110th anniversary, the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2014 is hosted by BMW Group Classic for the 10th time.
