As one of the big auto makers that support sports worldwide, BMW has recently announced the company is extending its commitment by entering into a partnership with the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (FIBT). The German car manufacturer will become for the first time title sponsor at the “Home World Championships.”
Car makers are everywhere, in your closet, your kitchen, living room, bathroom, garden. They create accessories for almost anything we use, design toys for our kids and put their logos all over the place. It’s marketing and folks, it’s truly a jungle out there. This is why, every once in a while we write about their newest ventures.

And it turns out BMW is quite a strong winter sports partner. As of this season, the company is extending its commitment, as they will be the “Official Main Sponsor of the Veissmann FIBY World Cup,” “Official Car and Technology Partner of the FIBT World Cup, World Championships and Federation”, as well as “Title Sponsor of the FIBT World Championships”.

The company’s commitment to bobsleighing has tradition at BMW. The technology partnership has linked us with the German Bobsleigh, Luge and Skeleton Federation since 2010. As of next season, we will also be present on an international level as the partner of the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation.”

BMW claims the company will have a prominent position at the FIBT World Cup events and at the FIBT World Championships, on the athletes’ helmets and on banners in the track area. At the World Championships, the company’s logo will also be visible on the front of the bobsleighs. The Germans also intend to provide BMW shuttle vehicles at selected World Cup events.
