Long before the show started, most of us BMW aficionados got our hopes up and were looking forward to seeing at least one new model being unveiled at Shanghai, especially since the Chinese market is growing so fast.
BMW didn't disappoint. Its stand in Shanghai hosted the world premiere of the X4 Concept. However, we wanted more. After seeing what looked like a production model 4 Series at an airport in Netherlands, everyone went mad.

We all thought that the Blue Estoril II car will be sent off to Shanghai to make its world debut. Unfortunately, the BMW stand is not showcasing the F32 4er but just the same 'old' i3 and i8 Concepts, 3 Series GT, M6 Gran Coupe, F25 X3 and some more more we're already accustomed with.

Bimmerheads around the world even expected at least the 5 Series LCI to show it's reworked 'nose' at the Chinese event but BMW decided otherwise. However, this move might be a winning one, on the long run.

Waiting to unveil the much-awaited cars at Frankfurt might be the better decision. After all, it's only natural to launch them at home, in Germany. However, we're not expecting the LCI 5er to be held back so long but, since there's no major Auto Show until September, we might see a release through the dealerships, without presenting it at a major event. Eitherway, we'll keep you posted!
