In 2013, BMW will use this occasion to bring forward a whole new set of cars, as well as groundbreaking premium compact concepts featuring forward looking design.

First of all we'll have the opportunity of witnessing, first hand, the brand new F34 3 Series GT, on which we already wrote a full story. We know that this new creation will be an elegant exclusive model and a dynamic and more comfortable way to travel but, we want to see it in the real world, not only in photos.

Secondly, the M6 Gran Coupe will be present in Switzerland along with our full admiration. This is one of the fastest 4 door coupes, equipped with the already emblematic S53Tu engine that uses the M TwinPower Turbo tech in order to get 560 HP and 680 Nm out of a 4.4-liter V8.

The Z4 Roadster will be showing new exterior features and detailed interior refinements for an even more luxurious complete package. A new entry-level engine will also be presented at Geneva for this model, the sDrive18i, which is a 2-liter, TwinPower Turbo unit with 156 HP.

One of the new concepts present will be the BMW Concept Active Tourer. First unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2012, this time we expect BMW to bring some new info on their futuristic product.

The BMW Active Tourer is intended for people that are interested in using green technology but at the same time like their luxurious way of life and comfort. The drive system of this concept comprises a 3-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor producing a combined power of 140 kW (190 HP). This allows the Tourer to be taken up to 100km/h in less than 8 seconds even though the car has pretty generous proportions. This car will, supposedly, have a fuel consumption of less than 2.5 liters/100 km.

BMW i3 with intelligent range-extending solutions is the blue and white propeller badged car manufacturer's answer to the environmental changes. In this case we'll be taking part at a premiere for the European continent. The i3 requires only a battery recharge every two or three days thanks to its eDrive powertrain. That translates in a range of 130 to 160 km.

The i3 is powered by specially developed high-voltage lithium-iron battery that is less vulnerable to the temperature fluctuations of the environment. The car uses various, innovative methods of reducing power consumption by the electrical components of the car thus increasing its range by up to 25%.
