The US market is currently the second biggest worldwide for BMW and the German company wants to make sure its North American customers don’t feel neglected in any way. With a lot of its focus on China these days, BMW wants to make sure nobody is left out.
For the 2015 model year models, the company decided to offer a plethora of new options, upholsteries, paint colors and many other new features that are supposed to give the customer some more satisfaction overall. We selected the most important ones to tell you all about them.

As you already knew, starting this summer, the 2 Series range will be available with xDrive in the US. The intelligent all-wheel-drive system will require a $1,800 premium over rear-wheel-drive models. Therefore, the 228i xDrive will start at $34,850 while the M235i xDrive Coupe will be at least $45,850. That’s including the new destination and handling tax that was increased by $25 to $950.

For the complete 3 Series and 4 Series range, the company announced that there will be some slight changes done to the cabin. The center console cupholder lid and the lid storage net in the glove compartment will be gone. The time display in the instrument cluster is moved to the bottom right, under the tachometer while the labeling of the memory button for the driver’s seat will be changed from M to SET, accompanied by an acoustic signal when memorizing a position.

All the 2015 5 Series models will now have the Sport Leather Steering wheel as standard on all models, alongside the LED fog lights, Enhanced Bluetooth and USB + Smartphone integration while the 550i and 550i xDrive models will be fitted with the Comfort Access option as standard. The Modern Line will no longer be available.

As for the 6 Series range, the standard equipment will include, from now on, the Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster, iDrive touchpad controller for cars fitted with Navigation and Launch Control for the 8-speed automatic gearbox versions. As for the 650i and 650i xDrive models, the M Sport exhaust will be standard.

The 2015 X3 model is an LCI version so there have been plenty of changes announced already. The standard equipment will now include Sport Leather steering wheel on the xDrive28i and xDrive35i models as well as roof rails, Burl Walnut Wood trims and LED fog lights.

The other SAV in the BMW line-up, the X5 will get an improved 8-speed automatic gearbox for faster acceleration and better fuel efficiency. With the new software, the cars will be between 0.1 (for the xDrive35i and sDrive35i models) to 0.2 seconds (xDrive35d and xDrive50i) faster. That will make the xDrive50i version a 4.7 second SUV. The Sport Leather steering wheel will now be available on all models, while the xDrive50i will have comfort access keyless entry as standard. For more detailed info, check out the attached pdf.
