The 420d xDrive Coupe will have a 2-liter turbocharged engine that develops 184 HP and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. With this engine onboard and the xDrive all-wheel-drive transmission, the new 4er will average a fuel consumption of 4.8-4.9 l/100 km (49 mpg), with 126-129 grams of CO2 per km.

Last, but not least, the 435d xDrive Coupe will benefit from BMW's all-wheel-drive intelligent system and an even more powerful 3-liter diesel, that builds up 313 HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque, figures that help the car reach a fuel consumption between 5.4-5.6 l/100km (42-43 mpg).
