After people constantly complained that some BMW drivers are not complete gentleman and that Prius owners are usually claiming to be better than you (showing it plainly), scientists decided to get involved.
A study done by the Institute of Personality and Social Research at the University of California Berkeley shows that rich people tend to be jerks whilst behind the wheel. Since BMWs aren't cheap, they are usually bought by this sort of people, therefore the conclusion that they are rude, to say the least.
The good news is that they don't stand alone. Prius and Mercedes-Benz owners do the same, when faced with similar situations, so that might be some sort of consolation for us.
The study was done at pedestrian crosswalks and 4-way stop intersections. Out of 10 cars, about 8 did the right things, whilst the other 2 cars were probably BMWs or Prii or Mercs.
Fortunately for us, the study was done in California and we all know how things happen over there… Not to say they are bad drivers but they're just a bit different. Saying their findings are true for the whole USA seems a bit juvenile but they're scientists and we're not...
