BMW is currently trying hard to make its range of M Performance Parts popular and in this regard they just launched a new video showcasing a fully-decked BMW M4 going up against a less flashy M3.
It might seem like a rather cannibalistic way to advertise your products but as long as it works, the management probably won’t have anything to object.
In their latest commercial, we can ‘admire’ a fully-decked BMW M4 wearing everything the M Performance range has to offer and more. At times the focus switches from the main action to a certain part that has to be emphasized, the exhaust being one of the main important bits as far as we can tell.
Racing through what looks like an abandoned factory, our ‘hero’ ends up comparing his time to one of his friends’ that, unfortunately, was driving a rather stock M3 model dressed up in Fire Orange as far as we can tell, one of our favorite colors from BMW. While some will prefer to wear the M Performance logo all over the place, this one editor would take the more subtle sedan over the coupe any day of the week. Maybe that was the point of this whole thing, to show you that you can go either way.
What can you actually fit on your M4 from the M Performance range?
For the M4 BMW prepared an impressive range of products part of the M Performance catalogue. From floor mats wearing the M logo to stainless steel pedal covers, black kidney grilles, a $4,400 exhaust made of titanium, carbon fiber front splitters and decals to iPhone holders, carbon fiber trims for the interior, a new steering wheel and carbon fiber side mirror covers you can see them all in the video below.
The tricky thing is, most of them don’t necessarily improve performance but only the visual appearance of the car and while, to us, things like decals on the side skirts look rather ridiculous, the exhaust is something to consider.
