In the uninterrupted race for more eco-friendly cars, most manufacturers are turning to hybrid solutions. BMW is no exception. However, they do create sporty hybrids and not lagging, slow cars like the Prius.
The guys from CarAdvice took one for a spin to see just how good the smallest hybrid from BMW is. Based on the 335i, the ActiveHybrid3 is even quicker to 100 km/h (62 mph) and has more power thanks to the electric motor.

Speaking of which, the electric unit has 55 HP and 210 Nm (154 lb-ft) of torque at its disposal, making the total output of the car rise to 340 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. Those are quite impressive numbers.

The suspension handles the extra weight with ease and the car keeps its dynamic character and agility even in the tightest curves and that is rather amazing. Comfort is at home in this particular 3er and you won't have any problems in this regard.

Overall, the car is a true 3 Series, with all the characteristics of a non-hybrid 335i, whilst also keeping CO2 emissions low and fuel consumption within reasonable limits. Actually, the guys from Car Advice even went on to say that this car is "the best performing hybrid on the market today".
