The BMW 6-Series Coupe’s metal is still hot from the factory welding, but the fact that the Germans have brought us a new flagship coupe doesn’t mean that we can’t look even higher.
How high? Well, there are many fans who would like to see the Bavarians resurrect their true flagship two-door model, the 8-Series. Turkish industrial designer Ismet Çevik comes to lend a helping hand by offering us these renderings of the vehicle.
Such a model would allow BMW to offer a true 2+2 Grand Tourer and the move could make sense, considering that the German carmaker is looking to fill out all the possible niches - we’ll remind you that it has just launched the 6-Series Gran Coupe.
Here’s what the designed had to say about the concept: “It’s actually a real rival to the Mercedes CL. Because I think the 6-Series is not a full comparison to the CL-Class. I went a bit further from a CL, and also included Rolls-Royce and Bentley influences. It is definitely a 90′s legend 8-Series. High class, business, luxury and supersport. Created to be new legend for BMW.”
