BMW 700 Coupe 1:18 Diecast Released

In the late 50s and up to the mid 60s, BMW was in a deep financial crisis and needed big selling, cheap cars to stay afloat, keeping the driving dynamics at bay for a while. That's how the 700 model or BMW LS came to life.

The car was the company's first that used a monocoque structure and proved to be a sales success at first and a motorsport sensation later on with the 700RS model. In the 6 years of production 188,000 units were sold, making this one of the most successful models ever to be released.

Back then, BMW cars used small engines most of the time and the 700 was no exception. It was powered by a flat-twin engine with a displacement of 697cc that used a single Solex 34PCI carburetor that developed 30 HP.

If you're a true fan of BMW you know just how important this car was in the brand's history and you'll want to own it. That's why the guys from Autoart created a diecast version of the car available in Cream Beige, Spanish Red or Ceramic Blue. You can take a look at all of them in the gallery below.
