BMW 650i with Hartge Engine Upgrade Test Drive

As usual, when Hartge releases an engine upgrade for a BMW car, it's accompanied by a video that showcases just how good the car drives afterwards.

Today we're looking at their take on the BMW F12 650i Convertible. The initial version of this car is fitted with the N63 4.4-liter V8 engine that delivers 407 HP and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque to the rear wheels.

After Hartge was done with it, it pushed 481 HP and 690 Nm (509 lb-ft) of torque down the transmission, to the rear axle. With the new numbers, the car is now faster by 3.19 seconds in the sprint from 80 to 200 km/h (50 to 124 mph).

However, this is an upgrade that you should consider only if your car was built before July 2012 because the models built afterwards have the upgraded N63 engine with 450 HP and 650 Nm of torque.
