BMW has launched the first ever 6 Series in Australia in the form of the 640d Gran Coupe, a car we're very familiar with, since we tested it last year.
Sadly, since this is imported from Europe, prices are very high, starting at AUD184,800 ($193,266 €150,584) plus on-road costs.
As all BMW fans know, any 40d model is powered by a 3-liter, six-cylinder turbo diesel engine which produces 313 hp (230 kW) at 4,400 rpm and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque, delivered through an eight-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic.
Even though this is a very large car, it still manages to get from 0 to 100 km/h in rapid manner, taking just 5.5 seconds.
For the Australian market, standard features include BMW's head-up display, a very necessary rearview camera, LED headlights and satellite navigation.
