The marketing departments of automotive producers like to make the most out of the company’s performance divisions image. The process has given birth to sporty exterior and interior packages which have a strong connection to those installed on high end vehicles from manufacturers’ line-ups.
The latest “look only” official kit comes from BMW, which has developed a M Sport package for the 5-Series Touring (that’s how the Bavarians call their estate models).
A official brochure scans showing the 5-Series Touring wearing the sports clothes and underwear have been published by the Bimmertoday website.
The car now has a revised front fascia that features three large air intakes and follows the current M design philosophy. The sidekirts have also been replaced with new ones that offer a stronger aerodynamic profile.
At the rear of the vehicle we can find a new bumper, which comes with a black-finished lower end and houses two round tailpipes. The brochure also shows two M wheel choices, with one design being available in a 18 inch size and the other in a 19 inch size.
The M Sportpaket also brings interior modifications, such as sport seats, aluminum trimming and and a M leather steering wheel.
The BMW 5-Series has received a sporty look, whit the option probably becoming a commercial success. We expect this to happen as the sales statistics from previous years show that this kind of factory kits have become a popular option, and we are not only talking about BMW here.
