German manufacturer BMW announced a series of enhancements to be brought to the Australian 5 Series line-up, to both showcase BMW's latest technologies and provide better price-quality ratio. The enhancements, in the form of the packages described below, will be accompanied by a 3-year servicing package for no additional cost.
Thus, BMW will offer, for the first time as standard in the 5 Series, Head-up Display, Professional Navigation with 8.8-inch monitor, TV and Voice Recognition. In addition, the 520d, 523i and 525i receive Park Distance Control, while the 530i, 530d and 530i Touring get Comfort Access as standard. The top of the range 550i is enhanced by the addition of Comfort Access, HiFi loudspeaker system Logic 7 and Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go function. All added free-of-charge.
“The new product offering on 5 Series translates to exceptional value for customers wanting the very best in luxury motoring,” BMW Group Australia managing director, Stavros Yallouridis said in a release. “For each 5 Series model the new product offering equates to an injection of significant around $9,000 of additional value,” he added.
As we already said, BMW will also provide a "3 year or 60,000km service inclusive package, offering ‘peace of mind’ and a significant reduction in the cost of ownership versus its competitors."
“The dual benefit of both enriched product substance and 3 years servicing provides a very compelling opportunity for potential buyers,” Stavros said.
Deliveries of the new packages for the 5 Series will begin this month in Australia and, to be honest, the offering is poised to cause quite a stir among Aussie Bimmer lovers.
