BMW 435i by Performance One Looks almost Like an M4

The guys from Performance One set out to build an impressive BMW 4 Series way before the M4 hit the dealerships around the US. They wanted to get as close to the M car as possible so they ordered an M Sport 435i which would be the perfect car to start with.

Over the following 5 months they’ve been working on it to bring it closer to their vision, reaching a brilliant similarity with the M4 after all their hard efforts.

At first, the 4er received an Akrapovic exhaust system along with some small exterior cosmetic changes that included gloss black front grilles, painted front and rear reflectors. That was only the first step though and, as you can hear it from the video posted below, it was encouraging.

Up next were new wheels and since this was no ordinary car, no ordinary wheels were used. Therefore, the guys went for HRE’s FF01 flowformed rims measuring 20x8.5 inches up front and 20x10 inches round the back, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sports. That wasn’t enough, however, and a set of H&R sport springs were added to the mix, for a new stance that was now 1 inch (2.5 cm) lower in the front and 0.75” (1.8 cm) lower in the back.

In phase three, a new aero part was introduced to the Bimmer: 3D Design’s front bumper lip finished in BMW frozen black. At the same time, other small tweaks were done to the car, like adding a BMW M Performance carbon fiber shifter trim and carbon fiber handbrake cover with alcantara boot.

Last, but not least, BMW M Performance catalogue was used once again, to provide a new rear bumper diffuser dressed in frozen black with matching reflectors, a new side stripe, carbon fiber mirror caps and trunk spoiler.

The end product looks absolutely incredible and a lot of people might take it for an M4. Now go on and check it out properly in the photo gallery.
