BMW 428i M Sport Jumps on XIX Wheels

The new 4 Series range is already winning awards all over the world, proving that the Management team over at BMW wasn’t wrong when it decided to split the Coupe from the Sedan in the 3 Series line-up and create a standalone model.

However, no matter how good looking a car is, people will always find ways to play with its looks. Case and point: this BMW 428i M Sport riding on XIX wheels.

Hailing from Texas, this Sapphire Black Bimmer hopped on XIX X15 wheels measuring 20x8.5 inches up front and 20x10 inches at the back, wrapped in 225/35/20 and 275/30/20 tires. The design of the wheels is what immediately captures your attention, with black windows, machined faces and chromed lips.

Since BMW has taken a step back in wheel design lately, aftermarket rims make all the sense in the world, especially when they’re so good looking.

As for the car, many people claim that it’s better than even the top of the range 435i due to its reduced weight. Looking over the numbers, you’ll soon realize that the performance difference between the two actually isn’t that big either.

The 428i uses a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with 245 HP and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque that will allow the automatic 8-speed gearbox to carry the coupe up to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.8 seconds. On the other hand, the 435i uses a 3-liter mill with 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque that will take you up to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds. It might seem a lot but down the road, the balance and weight difference will make the former a bit more agile.
