After announcing 3 new diesel models for the 4 Series Coupe line-up, BMW is not done with the surprises yet. They also announced that the 4 Series range will receive a new entry-level model.
The cheapest 4er will be the 420i model, fitted with a  2-liter turbocharged engine that develops 184 HP and 200 lb-ft (270 Nm) of torque. This one will return an average fuel consumption of 6.1-6.3 l/100 km (37-38 mpg) whilst discarding only 144 grams of CO2 into the atmosphere per kilometer.

Another 4 Series model using the same engine will also show up starting with November, the 420i xDrive. The unit under the bonnet has the same numbers but due to the all-wheel-drive system it will eat up 6.8-7 liters of fuel per 100 km (33-34 mpg) whilst the CO2 emission levels will sit around 159-162 grams per kilometer.
