The guys over at Autocar seem pretty sure that the 3rd model in the 4 Series range will be released this spring at the Geneva Motor Show. We’re not so sure but prospects look interesting.

The guys from Munich patented the images of the new 4-door coupe a while back and they recently surfaced the web. Furthermore, out spyshots showed the car was really close to production, with almost everything done on it.

According to the aforementioned source, the Gran Coupe will be using the same wheelbase as the 3 Series sedan and the 4 Series coupe, the only noticeable differences being restricted around the shape of the roof and the 2 extra doors at the back.

They are also pretty sure about the exact measurements of the new model. If we’re to believe them, the car will be sporting 4,640 mm in lenght, 1,825mm in width and 1,370mm in height, making it a pretty sleek appearance on the road, being only slightly taller than the 2-door coupe version.

Engines are expected to remain the same, whilst performance will be different because of the extra weight of the 2 extra doors at the back. Of course, prices will also be a little different, the Gran Coupe being expected to come into dealerships at a steeper price tag.
