BMW’s so-called Launchfilms are meant to introduce the world to their new models, each having a different theme and showcasing the most important attributes of the car showcased in it.
In the case of the 4 Series Gran Coupe, it’s pretty obvious BMW wanted to emphasize the style and elegance of the new 4-door coupe and the video they created does exactly just that, showing the car in an urban environment with slow tempo music in the background that talks only about ‘awaking emotions deep inside’ (whatever that means).
While we can’t deny the fact that the new model looks the part, it’s also a bit confusing to watch this video as it does take it a bit too far, if you ask us. And yes, you’ll have to be pretty successful to afford such a car that starts at $41,225 in the US, for the 428i version.
However, most people will only have eyes for the M Sport 435i model, fitted with the trademark 3-liter 6-cylinder turbocharged N55 engine we all love, making 306 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. For such a car you’ll have to pay at least $46,725, not including the M Sport package that might very well set you back another $3,100, making the end price reach around $50,000.
Is it worth it? We can’t tell you just yet but if we’re to give you an answer based only on the video below, it’s worth a lot more.
