BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe by 3D Design

The guys from 3D Design might be Japanese but they sure know a thing or two about tuning European cars as well. That’s not something we or they claim, it’s something we know, especially in the case of BMWs.

After launching kit after kit for the 4 Series Coupe and even the 3 Series Gran Turismo, we’re now looking at a combination between the two: the kit for BMW’s 4 Series Gran Coupe.

The car that took everyone by surprise is now benefiting from a complete kit from 3D Design that includes the usual culprits. The entire car was taken care of, from the front fascia to the rear bumper, with the characteristic Japanese attention to details.

Up front, the bumper now has a a new splitter attached to it, made of carbon fiber, of course. At the same time, carbon fiber was also used to create all the other add-ons like the side skirts, rear diffuser, trunk spoiler and roof spoiler.

Round the back, the diffuser can sit in between 2 or 4 special exhaust tips courtesy of 3D Design, depending on what you prefer even though the range-topping models have only two pipes at the back. We’re guessing you’ll have to make some adjustments yourself to get 4 tips back there.

Black wheels and black kidney grilles complete the package for a car that is already extremely good looking. We didn’t particularly like the small front doors when we reviewed it but it’s still a great compromise between a coupe body style and the practicality of a sedan.

Prices for the kit are available only upon inquiry but we're guessing they won't be as high as some other tuners are asking in Europe or the States. On top of that price you'll also have to throw in the amount you have to pay for the car in the first place, which starts at €35,750 in Germany for the entry level 420i or $40,300 for the 428i in the States.
