We’ve been dealing with rumors of the BMW 4-Series for about a year now, and soon we will know for sure what the future holds for the compact two-door model.
After a rumor that the new BMW X4 will be shown as a concept at in Detroit next January, another speculative piece of news from Car and Driver suggests the 4-Series Coupe will bow at 2013 NAIAS as well.

The 4-Series will of course be based on he F30 3-Series platform. But the styling will be different, much like the 6-Series differs from the 5-Series. There will also be a Gran Coupe version of the 4-Series as well.

Just like the 1-Series and 3-Series, the new two-door models will be offered in three Lines: Sports, Modern and Luxury. M Sport packages will of course be available, as well as a real M4 powered by some sort of multi-turbo straight-six.
