After the failure registered by the 5 Series GT, nobody expected BMW to launch another, similar car that was doomed to have the same faith. However, the 3 Series GT received positive reviews and it's definitely better looking than it's older brother.
The guys from Auto Motor und Sport tested the new 3er and couldn't help but notice a few things. First of all, the new GT is definitely not as agile as a sedan. That's only normal, considering how much bigger than its sedan sibling it is.

However, you can compensate for the heavier feel and inaccurate steering by going for the Adaptive Dampers that will completely change the feel of your GT. Furthermore, the Tourismo is a lot more spacious in the back. Folding the rear seats will get you up to 100 liters more in storage than in a Touring (and that says a lot).

With a fuel consumption that averages 4.9 l/100 km (48 mpg), the 320d version of the Gran Touring 3er will bring about the freedom and range you and your family deserve.

Bottom line, the new Gran Tourismo from BMW is made for comfort. That's the whole point behind it. If you are a family man and have an urging desire to take your family on a Continental tour as often as possible, the 320d GT is the car for you. In case you desire to drive as sporty as possible and drag race between stoplights you should consider a 335i sedan.
