If you were to judge by its name, you’d think that this particular version of the 3er has some special features on it to make it look as good and "stylish" as possible, right? Well, as is the case with most such models, things aren’t exactly as they seem.

All cars will be painted Sapphire Black and all of them will be fitted with black BMW M Performance kidney grilles. Styling 441M (in gray paint) light alloy wheels measuring 18x8” on the front axle and 18x8.5” will be fitted on every corner of the car to finish off the looks of this trailblazer.

Inside the cabin, you’ll also find an interesting mix made up of a combination of black Sensatec (synthetic leather), ash wood grain trims (with matching inlays), BMW M Performance stainless steel pedal covers, and heated seats.

As you can see, there are no bespoke options included here and one could easily configure his/her 320i xDrive Touring model the same way if they wanted to.

Standard features include the M Sport Package, Shadow Line exterior trims (black side window frames), the brilliant ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox, multi-function M steering wheel, LED headlights (a premiere on the 3 Series that arrived with the facelift), rearview camera and the Driving Assistant that is made up of features such as Lane Departure Warning, collision avoidance sensors and emergency braking.

As you can see, the cars do come fitted with a lot of equipment, but we’re still not sure that they are worth the price tag, set at JPY6,110,000, which translates to roughly $50,000 at today’s exchange rates.
