BMW 3 Series Touring Gets New Petrol Engines in March

BMW released a new list of the BMW 3 Series Touring specs for fresh engines and drivetrains that will be available in March. The new petrol engines for the Touring version of the 3er will be the 316i and the 335i. These versions will now also be available in the xDrive models.
The 316i model will have a 1.6-liter petrol engine, equipped with the BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology with twin-scroll turbocharger, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control and Double-VANOS variable camshaft control.

This will bring the power output at 136 HP and the torque at around 220 Nm whilst the fuel consumption will be situated at a combined 5.9 l/100 km equivalent to CO2 emission of 138 g/km.

The top speed for this model will be 210 km/h and the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.4 seconds. This car will come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission.

The 335i model will have a 3.0-liter straight 6-cylinder petrol engine, equipped with the same BMW TwinPower Turbo Technology with twin-scroll turbocharger, High Precision Injection, VALVETRONIC fully variable valve control and Double-VANOS variable camshaft control.

It will produce 306 HP and 400 Nm of torque whilst the fuel consumption will be of 8.1 l/100km on the combined cycle and the CO2 emission levels will be 189 g/km.

The top speed for the 335i Touring BMW will be 250 km/h (electronically limited) and the 0-100 km/h acceleration will be done in 5.5 seconds. This model will come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, or with a 8-speed Steptronic automatic.
