BMW 3 Series Touring Gets New Diesel Engines in March

BMW has just released a new list of the BMW 3 Series Touring diesel engines that will be available starting with March 2013. The new engines will be the ones on the 325d Touring, the 320d EfficientDynamics and the 330d xDrive Touring.

The 325d will have a 2-liter, 4-cylinder diesel engine, producing 218 HP and 450 Nm of torque whilst the fuel consumption will have an average value of around 5.1 l/100km with 134g/km CO2 emissions.

The top speed of this version will be 238 km/h, while the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration will be dealt with in 6.9 seconds. This version will only be available with rear wheel drive and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The 330d xDrive will have a 3-liter 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 258 HP and 560 Nm of torque, whilst the fuel consumption will be of 5.4 l/100 km with 142g/km of CO2 emissions.

The top speed of this version will be of 250km/h and the 0 to 100 km/h acceleration will be done in 5.4 seconds. The 330xd will only be available with the Steptronic 8-speed automatic transmission.

Another new version of the 3er Touring will be the 320d EfficientDynamics. This one will be powered by a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine producing 163 HP and 380 Nm of torque. The fuel consumption will be of only 4.3 l/100 km with 112 g/km CO2 emissions.

The top speed for the 320 EfficientDynamics will be 222 km/h with a 0 to 100 acceleration time of 8.3 seconds. This version will be available with the 6-speed manual gearbox as standard and the 8-speed automatic as an option.
