Apart from the M Performance model that will be available in the 2 Series range, at the moment, customers can have their pick out of 3 lines that are different from each other mostly in optional features.
Sure, there are also visual differences between the Modern, Sport and M Sport models but in the end, they are not as big as you might've expected. Seeing that its bigger brother, the 4 Series Coupe received a full M Performance kit for its models, some people thought it would be a good idea for the 2er also.
That's why Khalil.B from Virtuel-Car rendered a 2014 2 Series Coupe with the complete M Performance works, similar to the 4er. Unfortunately, at the moment, BMW didn't release any official statement regarding M parts for the new model but we're expecting some new info on the matter pretty soon.
As for this rendering, we have to admit it looks absolutely legit. The front end received a new bumper with carbon fibre bits, the side sills too whilst the side mirrors are now wearing carbon fibre caps.
