The recent trend at BMW seems to be to cover every possible niche. Thanks to this particular way of thinking, we've been seeing new BMW models almost on a monthly basis, culminating with the most recent, the 2 Series Coupe.
Now that the 2 Series family was officially launched, it's time to speculate a bit on what models will come out in the future, wearing the even number on their boot lid. After looking at how the 2 Series Convertible might turn out to be, it's time to go even further.
If in the case of the open top model we're absolutely sure it's going to show up on the market maybe in late 2014, the Gran Coupe is not sure a certain thing. Up until now BMW made no official statements towards a 4-door version of the 2er but, judging by recent developments, the car seems more possible than ever.
Just a couple of days before we spotted the 4 Series Gran Coupe testing, following in the footsteps of the 6 Series Gran Coupe, all of them being models with 4 doors based on Coupe variants. What will stop BMW from creating another one, using the 2 Series Coupe as a starting point? Nothing!
That means that this rendering right here, might be seen on the roads of a city near you sooner than you'd think. Of course, since Theophilus did it, it's flawless, keeping even the Hofmeister kink in unscathed, as a link to BMW's legacy.
