After witnessing the most anticipated car from BMW these days, the 4 Series, completely undisguised, we're waiting for the next big thing from the Bavarian manufacturer. That's the 1 Series Coupe replacement, the new 2 Series.
First spyshots were already published, quite a while ago, for both the Convertible and the Coupe. Now it's time to start guessing again. After BMW confirmed developing a 1 Series M Coupe successor (that will probably be called M2), we could assume that a 2 Series Gran Coupe might also be in the works.
In case that will be picked up, the new GC will have 4 doors, and a slightly longer wheelbase and roofline, of course. The guys from Autobild even released a rendering showing a possible take on the 2er Gran Coupe.
An even stronger argument for the 2er Gran Coupe is that the German company needs a competitor for the recently introduced Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG. Things will get pretty interesting starting with November this year, when the 2 Series will enter production.
