Now that the F32 BMW 4 Series has been set free, we’re looking forward to also seeing its little brother, the upcoming BMW 2 Series. It seems that the replacement for the 1 Series coupe and convertible is set to go on sale in March next year.
The 2 Series will make its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show this autumn, but the vehicle is expected to be officially revealed online a few weeks before the show. The convertible is set to follow the coupe shortly and this will keep the 1 Series’ cloth top layout.

BMW is set to introduce the 2 Series coupe as the 218i, 225i and 220d when the vehicle is launched. Subsequently, we’ll get versions such as the M235i (shown above) and M235i xDrive. As we previously reported, the M235i is set to enter production in November 2013. Speaking of all-wheel drive, this option will be offered on more models.

The range will be topped by the M2, which is expected to arrive in 2015 and come with a price of $69,000 or EUR52,700.
