When BMW’s M Performance sub-brand isn’t creating models like the M135i, it’s developing performance parts for the standard vehicles and they’ve just come up with a new set. BMW’s 2 Series Coupe has now received the sporty treatment touching its tech, exterior and interior areas.
The tech upgrades debut with what is currently the smallest diesel in the range, the 220d Coupe. This takes the 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-pot tp 200 PS (147 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft), a bump of 16 HP (14 kW) and 40 Nm (29 lb-ft).

Another highlight takes us to the other end of the range, when the M235i receives two key components. We’re talking about a limited-slip diff and a silencer system that gives a new voice to the three-liter turbocharged engine. BMW mentions a beefier sound, but doesn’t say anything about a power bump.

The list of tech goodies goes on with a sports suspension (-20 mm), as well as two alloy wheel designs that come in a 19-inch size. There’s also a superior braking system, which can be distinguished by its red, yellow or orange calipers.

As for the body of the BMW 2 Series, this receives an aero kit for the front apron, side skirt add-on elements, as well as a diffuser element for the rear bumper. We also have a list of color-related details including balck kidney grilles, carbon exterior caps, side sill inscriptions, as well as BMW M Performance stripes.

Open the door and you’ll find a sports steering wheel in Alcantara and carbon, a carbon gear lever and handbrake lever, as well as an Alcantara gaiter. The coupe also gets carbon and Alcantara interior stripes and steel pedals.

Expect the BMW 2 Series M Performance parts to arrive in March 2014, once with the car itself.
