BMW UK just published a (extremely) short teaser on its Youtube channel, telling us to stay put and wait for a possible world debut tomorrow, September 10. In the usual BMW fashion they didn’t say what was going to happen but thanks to the images shown we could tell that it was all about the 2 Series Convertible. Pretty easy.
We’ve been waiting for the new model for quite a while now and the spy photos we’ve seen of the prototypes out testing basically told us all about it. While it might seem surprising, the new 2 Series Convertible hold little secrets for us by now.
The design will be basically identical to the one of the Coupe with small if any differences. The Luxury and M Sport lines will also be available while the rooftop will be textile to save some weight, just like on the 6 Series Convertible.
Considering that the weight of the cars compared to the Coupe models will go up, the performance will be less impressive but still worth checking out. The most sought-after model will be the M235i with its 3-liter 326 HP inline 6-cylinder engine.
So, now that we know when the cars will be unveiled, all we have to do is wait just a little longer.
