After the USA and Germany the UK will soon be getting its first 2 Series Convertible cars delivered, for prices that start at £29,180 OTR. Of course, that price tag is for the entry level model and not the top dog.
For that one, the M235i to be more precise, you’ll have to pay £37,710 to begin with, before adding any optional features. Of course, being an M Performance model comes with its perks, like a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder turbocharged engine making 326 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, the M Sport package that is standard, 18” double-spoke alloy wheels, Ferric Grey mirror covers, dual-zone air conditioning and even Dakota leather upholstery if one chooses so.

Of course, for over £8,000 less you can get the aforementioned entry level 220i model that comes with a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine making 184 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque. This one however, can be had in either Sport, Luxury or M Sport guise, depending on your choosing.

Standard features include alloy wheels, automatic AC, driving modes, keyless go and a Sport instrument cluster. If you choose the Sport line you also get dual dark chrome exhaust tailpipes, sport seats and a multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather.

For the Luxury models you’ll be getting larger alloy wheels, chrome finishers on the vertical slats of the front air inlet, front grille, dual chrome exhaust tailpipes and rear bumper, Fineline Wood and Dakota leather. These choices are the same for both the 220i and the 220d alternative that runs on diesel and has a starting price of £29,965.

The last model left in the range will be the £31,550 228i that also comes with the same standard features in Sport and Luxury trims. The M Sport versions will be even better configured with high-gloss shadowline exterior trims, aluminum hexagon trims with Estoril blue accents here and there, M Sport suspension, M Sport steering wheel and even M Sport brakes along with harman/kardon sound system and xenon headlamps along 18” wheels.

Our choice of the range would be the M235i if money wasn't an issue but we'd be pretty satisfied with the 245 HP 228i too to be honest, as it has a decent price/performance ratio.
