BMW 1M Coupe in Valencia Orange Spotted in China

China is really starting to enjoy the newly-found freedoms that their communist government is promoting these days. Even though in the '80s and '90s the Chinese market was closed to luxury items like BMW cars, today the Asian country is completely changed.

Recently a 1M Coupe was spotted in the Sanlitun beer district in Beijing by a BMW enthusiast. This discovery is rather exciting since only 6,331 of these beauties were ever made and only 450 were for the Chinese market. Dividing those among the 1.3 billion Chinese population, you get a small change of actually seeing one in China.

The twin-turbo powered car is a rare spot in any country, not only in China. Its 3-liter 6-cylinder N54 engine, delivering 340 HP and 450 Nm of torque (actually gets to 500 Nm with over boost) makes an impressive sound while being driven down the street and is a sure head-turner, especially when it's painted in this mesmerizing Valencia Orange.
