Bimmerfest is probably the biggest BMW gathering in the United States and the concept is rapidly spreading across the Atlantic, various European communities already setting up their own events.
Even so, the biggest venue will still be on the North American continent and, this year, it will be held in Rose Bowl Pasadena, in California. Sponsored by ESS Tuning, the kick-off will be this Saturday at 9:00 AM.
The guys from European Auto Source just finished working on a special 1M Coupe that will be part of the show this time, featuring some of the most interesting mods we’ve ever seen on such a car.
On the outside, a powerful M Stripe exterior dominates the design alongside an Alpine White paint that was applied to the car before the tuning began. All sorts of decals are also quite visible that, in our humble opinion, have no place on such a beautiful car. To each his own, though.
BBS LM wheels measuring 19x10 inches up front and 19x11 inches round the back give it a better stance while the complete BMW Performance carbon pack finishes up the rest of the exterior details (mirror covers, trunk spoiler, gloss black kidney grilles).
Under the bonnet, the N54HP 3-liter biturbo engine also received a couple of new bits and pieces to make it even more powerful. If the stock unit used to make 340 HP and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, after EAS was done with it, it’s pushing around 400 HP at the wheels, without even trying too much.
Amongst the ‘extra parts’ fitted inside the engine bay, you’ll find a Berk Technology racing midpipe, BMC Performance air filter, GIAC custom ECU tune, Forge Motorsports intercooler, Macht Schnell N54 downpipes and a complete Akrapovic titanium exhaust with CF tips.
The new splitter mounted on the front bumper comes from Scorpp Design and so does the new hood and rear diffuser, undertray included. In case you noticed it, the side skirt have been replaced with custom made ones and the taillights have been exchanged for some mean-looking Euro Blackline LCI ones.
As far as we can tell, this car looks more like a billboard on wheels than a proper BMW but even so, it’s still a sharp beast that will surely turn a lot of heads at Bimmerfest.
