BMW 1-Series Turns into G1 V8 Hurricane RS, Reaches 314 km/h

The vehicle you can find hidden behind the “play” button of the video above is nothing less than the fastest BMW 1-Series in the world, as described by its creator, German tuner G-Power.
We are talking about the G-Power G1 V8, which was recently taken all the way up to 314 km/h (195 mph) by sportauto.de, as you can see in the clip.

G-Power tells us that since the 1M Coupe, the starting point of the project, comes fitted from the factory with the M3’s front and rear axles, it also wanted to give it the M3’s engine. However, the aftermarket specialist didn’t stop there, fitting a supercharger to the V8. Thus, the 4.0-liter unit now feeds that playful rear axle with 600 hp and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque.

The unit works with a dual-clutch transmission and pushes the car past the 62 mph mark in 4.4 seconds, while the official top speed sits at 330 km/h (205 mph). If you’re wondering why the car was taken to “just” 314 km/h, this is because they used a prototype that came with an electronic speed limiter.

Of course you can’t just add a ton of extra muscle to a car and leave the rest of it in stock condition, so the G-Power G1 V8 also features the following tech mods:

• G-POWER conversion to M3 V8 engine incl. stainless steel exhaust system
• G-POWER conversion to DCT gear box
• G-POWER M3 S65 supercharger system SK II
• G-POWER 20’’ SILVERSTONE DIAMOND wheel set
• G-POWER bonnet and boot lid made from Carbon fibre
• G-POWER coil-over suspension GM1-RS Clubsport
• G-POWER Ceramic braking system
