Since the BMW 1 Series recently received a proper facelift that really allows it to keep up with the competition, it was only normal to see a couple of renderings of the new model come out in no time. One of the first companies to take a stab at creating a proper racer out of the small hatch was ADF Motorsport from South Africa.

As you probably know, the 1 Series Hatch is involved in various motorsport events like the BTCC, so we know how a proper racer looks like but on the F20 pre-facelift guises. Truth be told, the new model won’t be entering any race tracks too soon, but we’re pretty sure next year we’ll get to see it at work in racing clothes.

The rendering put together by ADF Motorsport is supposed to give us a glimpse into the future. That being said, you can notice that a lot has changed compared to the stock model, be that even the M135i.

The front bumper was completely redesigned for better air cooling for the parts behind it, and it also received plenty of carbon fiber work including a new air intake in the middle and a lip for its lower part. The front fenders weren’t left out either and are sporting massive air gills as well as a more protruding design.

Round the back, the same care for aerodynamics was kept on, the bumper now sporting a new diffuser made of carbon fiber by the looks of things. The exhaust pipes are also split to the sides, and a huge wing completes the package.

Looks good, right? Well, here’s hoping the guys from ADF Motorsport actually build this kit as it would be quite popular amongst enthusiasts.
