BMW 1 Series M Teaser Video

The countdown to the unveiling of the M flavor of BMW's 1 Series coupe has begun as soon as BMW TV released a teaser video for the model. Although not that revealing in terms of how the car will present itself, we must admit the teaser was enough to get our hearts pumping and our mind wander off in expectation.

Some of the details regarding the new M have been leaked a while back, just enough to bring the excitement to whole new levels. The car will be powered by a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine developing 345 horsepower and 310 lb.-ft of torque.

The unit will be paired with an M-DCT transmission, but a manual transmission version will be on the counter as well.

Visually, the shapes of the M1 can be clearly distinguished under the tights the car is wearing in the teaser video. The vehicle will boast M-designed side vents and side sills, with the bulged hood of the car giving the vehicle a more aggressive look.

At the rear, the M1 will boast open ducts on the rear diffuser and M designed exhaust pipes, while for the roof, the coupe will get a reinforced carbon fiber construction.

The M1 will ride on standard 18 inch 5 spoke wheels (the size will be the minimum offered to go with the M1) or, as an option, on 18 inch Competition wheels.
