BMW 1 Series M Coupe May Be Limited to 2,700 Units

One of the most exciting vehicles that are still waiting to be released is the BMW 1 Series M Coupe.

BMW is well aware of the wave of thrills generated by the future entry-level vehicle of the M division and is taking full advantage of this from the marketing point of view. The German automotive producer has released various photo and video teasers that sent the anticipation for the car to a sky-high level.

Speaking of entry-level, this is a special attribute of the 1 Series M Coupe. As Dr. Kay Segler, the head of the M division, explained earlier this year, the vehicle was created to offer enthusiasts a chance to own an M car at a younger age. So we should expect it to be a more affordable M animal... However, now it seems like BMW won’t be so generous after all, as certain rumors indicate that the vehicle will only be produced in limited numbers.

According to a member of the M3Post forum, who attended the Power M European event, the German company will only bring 2,700 unit of the vehicle to the world, in an effort to offer exclusivity. In addition to that, it seems like BMW will only allow customers to choose between three exterior colors for the car. The list, if we can call it so, includes Alpine White, Jet Black and Valencia Orange Metallic.

BMW has not responded to the rumor yet, so we will have to wait and see if the vehicle will be an M for the (speed-addicted) people or just a limited edition toy.
